چکیده

In conventional Kerr and Faraday microscopy, the sample is illuminated with plane-polarized light, a magnetic domain contrast generated by an analyzer making use of or rotation. Here, we demonstrate possibilities analyzer-free magneto-optical microscopy based on magnetization-dependent intensity modulations light. (i) The transverse effect can be applied for in-plane magnetized material, as demonstrated FeSi sheet. (ii) Illuminating that circularly polarized light leads to different symmetry from contrast. (iii) Circular polarization also used perpendicularly garnet ultrathin CoFeB films. (iv) Plane-polarized at specific angle employed both perpendicular media. (v) Perpendicular incidence materials quadratic in magnetization boundary (vi) Domain even obtained without polarizer. cases (iii), circular dichroism (i.e., differential absorption left- right-circularly induced components along direction propagation), while linear (differential linearly propagation) responsible case (v). domain–boundary due gradient effect. A arise interference phase-shifted amplitudes. An explanation these phenomena provided terms Maxwell–Fresnel theory.

Wide-field two-dimensional multifocal optical-resolution photoacoustic-computed microscopy.

Optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy (OR-PAM) is an emerging technique that directly images optical absorption in tissue at high spatial resolution. To date, the majority of OR-PAM systems are based on single-focused optical excitation and ultrasonic detection, limiting the wide-field imaging speed. While 1D multifocal OR-PAM (1D-MFOR-PAM) has been developed, the potential of microlens a...

Optical sectioning by wide-field photobleaching imprinting microscopy.

We present a generic wide-field optical sectioning scheme, photobleaching imprinting microscopy (PIM), for depth-resolved cross-sectional fluorescence imaging. Wide-field PIM works by extracting a nonlinear component that depends on the excitation fluence as a result of photobleaching-induced fluorescence decay. Since no specific fluorescent dyes or illumination modules are required, wide-field...

The wide-field optical sectioning of microlens array and structured illumination-based plane-projection multiphoton microscopy.

We present a theoretical investigation of an optical microscope design that achieves wide-field, multiphoton fluorescence microscopy with finer axial resolution than confocal microscopy. Our technique creates a thin plane of excitation light at the sample using height-staggered microlens arrays (HSMAs), wherein the height staggering of microlenses generate temporal focusing to suppress out-of-f...

Optical intensity mapping on the nanometer scale by near-field photodetection optical microscopy.

Near-field photodetection optical microscopy (NPOM) is a fundamentally new approach to near-field optical microscopy. This scanning-probe technique uses a nanometer-scale photodiode detector as a near-field optical probe. We have fabricated probes for NPOM that have optically sensitive areas as small as 100 nm x 100 nm. These new NPOM probes have been employed to image light transmitted through...

Development of a Near-Field Magneto-Optical Microscopy for Studying Ultrafast Magnetization Dynamics

Apertureless magneto-optical near-field microscopy is developed for studying subpicosecond spindynamics at nanometer spatial scale. Polarization modulation and tip vibrations are implemented. Polarization responsivity of the tip-induced scattering is demonstrated using polarization modulation and tip vibrations. A near-field magneto-optical contrast is achieved for a thin ferromagnetic film wit...
